THIS EPISODE IS SO GOOD OMG!!! It has a good mystery with an interesting culprit and a satisfying ending. Its one of if not the best episode in terms of the mystery and story itself. To have a character that shows up in only one episode yet be so iconic and memorable is a feat. And the fact that this episode is manages to be so good and iconic and on par with some of the later episodes with more iconic characters (like Kaitou KID or the BO).

(Also love how Conan is just doing whatever he wants in this episode.)

Anyways Narumi transgender as hell. (And strong as hell, how did she throw Conan that far and through a window.)

In a couple episodes after this, he talks to Hattori Heiji and askswhether or not he had ever killed someone. Hattori (if I remember correctly) asks if he’s joking or has some surprises reaction, to which continues by saying that someone dying because of your deduction is no different than you killing them yourself.

The reality is that this case is incredibly unique because it is one of the very few cases where Conan “let” someone die, so to say. He blames himself for Narumi’s death.

Later on you will see another case, and see it brought up yet again how these things stick around for him. I think even in the very future, sometimes these old cases are brought up. Canonically, probably little time has passed compared to the time in between the episodes, but there still is that aspect.

I imagined the doctor could be the culprit since she was the one who gave reports about the bodies and was left to be interrogated last, but damn was I not ready for any of that. Japanese people really like writing tragic endings don't they? Man, what a good episode, loved Narumi's character

But man this case always gets me. Swear I’ve watched it a couple times over already. Just a sad one and one where you can deduce on your own who the killer is by the end but doesn’t detract from the feels

These older episodes really get you into the series again. I don’t know if I’ve just gotten used to the style but I’m certain it’s because Conan used to have darker themes that the series felt so much better. Of course, doesn’t stop me from keeping up.

i was thinking its suuichi but man was i dumb hahahaha, such a nice ep, i watched that last clip from tiktok a month ago (that made me want to watch this series)

I can see why this episode is remembered but I wouldn’t say it’s one of my favorites

Aaaaa I'm so upset. I found it later that I have skipped 11-18 since I watched ep19 after ep10.
I only found it when I was checking the filler list and encounter the titles of the episodes unfamiliar because I haven't watch it 😭

Now I'm watching this 11-18 before watching ep 30 again

But damn this episode is good, I keep on jumping and jumping from those suspects but my very first guess was right that it was the doctor, since he was from Tokyo so he is familiar with Kogoro so yeah that's the only reason why he's my first prime suspect and find it amazing that I was right but not satisfied because I wavered and did not stick with him.

But that's sad, living your life and the only thing you think of or that's pushing you is revenge.

That last code made me smile bitterly.

One of my favorite episode so far

this episode was interesting and really mysterious compared to others, i liked the ending a lot, it's such a tragic story.

I mean I like episode 5 the bomb episode

Came back here after watching the remake in the 1000th episode. I still remember back when i started this anime in 2021 but dropped it after watching the 1000th episode😂 it goes like this... i was in episode 20+ when i got curious on what the 1000th episode looks like so i took a little sneak peek and thought this anime is just repetitive so i dropped it💀 didn't even bothered to search it up lol took me 2 years to give it a chance and literally becomes my FAVORITE ANIME OF ALL TIME. Lowkey wishing this series would reach 2k episodes

because you are watching garbage fillers. Skip them and you'll be back on track to the real story/plot

I can't argue with that, I also skip boring canon episodes that has no important plot development (see Detective Conan Anime wiki).

But fillers in my opinion are a of waste time, especially as a seasoned re-watcher.

I'd rather watch Detective Conan movies, ovas, and specials, because they are pseudo-canon episodes and compelling just like "interesting fillers".

Anyways, I'm glad that you also enjoyed Detective Conan series.
